India is great country , I have mention the following facts which makes my country great i hope you will also be agree with these facts.....
(1)INDIA IS CULTURALLY VERY RICH .
In terms of culture We should be proud .In India we have different culture in different States. although we have various culture in the same state. and the culture are very beautiful and have their own meaning . We wear colourful dress according to culture.
(2)DIVERSIFIED IN TO SEVERAL LANGUAGES
In India there is a saying that language and water change within the 10 to 15 kilometre . that shows India is rich in languages. There are lot of of languages spoken in India. Some of these languages are accepted nationally while others are accepted as dialects of that particular region.
India has 22 officially recognised languages. But around 33 different languages and 2000 dialects have been identified in India. Hindi is the official language of the Federal government of India. English is an associate official language. Sanskrit as the classical language of India.
(3) INDIA INDEED IS A SPIRITUAL NATION
India learns us true essence of life. How should a human being lead a good quality of life in minimum resources by becoming spiritual enough. Vedas, Upanishads, Shri Bhagwad Gita is having solution for every crisis of this world. India has seen many civilisation & having history of at least 5000 years of vedic culture. India learns to avoid materialism in Life. Materialism can never make you happy, can not win friends in Life. At the same you should not leave up working for earning. Money are necessary to lead a quality of life, self sufficiency & self respect but money is everything
(4) INDIA -- SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
At the time of independence, our scientific and technological infrastructure was neither strong nor organised as compared to the developed world. In the past four decades we improved our technology, an infrastructure has been created minimising our dependence on other countries . After independence we are using the foreign technology but now in technology we are so sound and able to support other countries . In computer technology we are already make a mark in world. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched foreign payloads . It make me proud to my country.
(5) INDIAN ARE SMART AND INTELLIGENT
Indian have proved that they are intelligent and dedicated to his work. We Indians are the wealthiest among all field in America, even better than the whites and .There are 3.22 millions of Indians in USA (15% of population).
1) 38% of doctors in USA are Indians.
2) 12% scientists in USA are Indians.
3) 36% of NASA scientists are Indians.
4) 10% of Microsoft employees are Indians.
5) 28% of IBM employees are Indians.
6) 17% of INTEL scientists are Indians.
7) 13% of XEROX employees are! Indians.
(6) INDIA RICH IN ART AND LITERATURE
The artistic and literary heritage of India is exceptionally rich. Probably most renowned are the country's architectural masterpieces.
SOME OTHER FACTS MAKE ME PROUD TO BE INDIAN
I would like to share some following facts which were recently published in a German magazine,
1. India never invaded any country in her last 1000 years of history.
2. India invented the Number system. Zero was invented by Aryabhatta.
3. The world's first University was established in Takshila in 700BC. More than 10,500 students from all over the world studied more than 60 subjects. The University of Nalanda built in the 4 th century BC was one of the greatest achievements of ancient India in the field of education.
4. According to the Forbes magazine, Sanskrit is the most suitable language for computer software.
5. Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to humans.
6. Although western media portray modern images of India as poverty striken and underdeveloped through political corruption, India was once the richest empire on earth.
7. The art of navigation was born in the river Sindh 5000 years ago. The very word "Navigation" is derived from the Sanskrit word NAVGATIH.
8. The value of pi was first calculated by Budhayana, and he explained the concept of what is now known as the Pythagorean Theorem. British scholars have last year (1999) officially published that Budhayan's works dates to the 6 th Century which is long before the European mathematicians.
9. Algebra, trigonometry and calculus came from India . Quadratic equations were by Sridharacharya in the 11 th Century; the largest numbers the Greeks and the Romans used were 106 whereas Indians used numbers as big as 105320
10. According to the Gemological Institute of America, up until 1896, India was the only source of diamonds to the world.
11. USA based IEEE has proved what has been a century-old suspicion amongst academics that the pioneer of wireless communication was Professor Jagdeesh Bose and not Marconi.
12. The earliest reservoir and dam for irrigation was built in Saurashtra.
